Located in Midtown East on 2nd Avenue, between 52nd and 53rd street, Traffic East provides an upscale, sophisticated venue to party the night away with your best friends. The use of wood, brick, and leather in shades of tan and reddish brown to create the walls and furniture heightens the appeal of the venue. They all have clean finishes that prevent Traffic from feeling like a boy’s club and more like an environment suitable for partying hard or just hanging with friends. The menu is sophisticated without being stuffy. Worthy of note is the Asian Steak Entré Salad and the Gridlock Burger, featuring yellow and white American cheeses and hickory-smoked bacon stuffed inside the burger and topped with Traffic’s specialty sauce. In the evening, Traffic becomes a high-energy lounge for meeting and greeting old friends and meeting new acquaintances. The beer list is not extensive but includes favorites such as Dos Equis and Guinness, as well as Shock Top. Wine is also available in red, white, and Prosecco.
