Baltimore Events
Baltimore is the largest city in Maryland. Much of the city’s tourism centers around the historic Inner Harbor , home of the National Aquarium. The Harbor’s restoration has made it “a city of boats”. Baltimore’s motto: “The Greatest City in America History” has helped it to become a strong party destination on the East Coast. Go grab a beer and watch the Orioles play at Camden Yards. Take in a magic show washed down by a drink or two at Illusions Bar and Lounge. The best remaining example of Baltimore’s famous beer brewing history is the old American Brewery Building on North Gay Street and the National Brewing Company building in the Brewer’s Hill neighborhood. Local craft beers can be sampled in most taverns. Baltimore is famous for its Maryland blue crabs and the city has many trendy restaurants in or around the Inner Harbor. The oldest continuously running tavern in the country is “The Horse You Came In On Saloon”, where Edgar Allen Poe was last seen alive and where you can get your fill of Jack Daniels infused shots and drinks. Many of Baltimore’s upscale restaurants can be found in Harbor East. Baltimore is also the host of “Artscape” the largest free arts festival in the country.
