Where does the Alexandria route run?
Old Town along King Street, almost certainly. That stretch runs from the Metro down to the Potomac and holds nearly all the city's bars.
Do both Alexandria Halloween dates match?
They run identical hours on both October Saturdays, which most cities do not do. Neither date is the obviously bigger one as a result.
How long are the December windows here?
Both winter crawls run noon to eleven on the third Saturday, which is eleven hours. Read that as the participating span rather than a continuous route.
Does Metro reach Old Town Alexandria?
Yes. The Blue and Yellow lines stop at King Street, which puts you at the top of the strip to walk down toward the river.
Are the King Street cobbles an issue?
In places. The lower blocks toward the waterfront keep original cobblestone, which is unforgiving in the wrong shoes late in an evening.
How does Alexandria differ from Arlington?
Alexandria has the eighteenth-century waterfront, a named venue partner and all nine dates. Arlington's hub, ten minutes up the parkway, carries nothing at all despite Clarendon's density.
