Ithaca’s Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl brings the Gorges City’s bar culture and Upstate New York holiday spirit to the holiday sweater tradition. The Commons and the Collegetown bar districts have developed into one of the most vibrant and creative bar scenes in Upstate New York and on ugly sweater night the combination of Cornell University and Ithaca College energy, the progressive community character, and the excellent local bars creates a holiday celebration with an Ithaca creativity that is genuinely outstanding.
Our Ithaca route moves through the Commons and the surrounding bar district, stopping at venues that represent the full quality of what Ithaca’s excellent bar scene has built. The ugly sweater competition in Ithaca draws on the creative energy of one of the most academically and artistically rich small cities in America and the entries reflect that Upstate New York combination of Cornell excellence, Ithaca progressive spirit, and genuine holiday creativity.
