Fourth Avenue and the downtown Anchorage bar district are the heart of Alaska’s one of the biggest city nightlife and on ugly sweater night the combination of Alaskan wilderness culture, midnight sun legacy, and the extraordinary Anchorage bar community creates a holiday celebration that is unlike any other.
Our Anchorage route moves through downtown and the surrounding bar district, stopping at venues that serve the Alaskan community that has chosen to live at the edge of the American frontier. The ugly sweater competition in Anchorage draws on the creativity of people who have decided that Alaska is worth it and who bring the same spirit of adventure to their holiday sweaters that they bring to everything else in the Last Frontier.
