Corpus Christi’s SantaCon brings the Sparkling City’s bar culture and Texas Gulf Coast holiday spirit to one of the most bay-waterfront December celebrations in the Lone Star State. The downtown Corpus Christi and the Water Street bar area are the heart of the Sparkling City’s nightlife and when SantaCon arrives the combination of the Corpus Christi Bay waterfront setting, the Navy Corpus Christi Air Station community, and the excellent local bars creates a holiday celebration with a Corpus Christi character that is warm, coastal, and genuinely South Texas.
Corpus Christi is a coastal Texas city with a deep connection to the Gulf of Mexico and the SantaCon reflects that waterfront heritage. The Santa costume competition draws on the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders community and the Sparkling City arts and military community and the entries have a South Texas Gulf Coast combination of coastal creativity and genuine December celebration.
