Virginia Beach’s SantaCon brings the Oceanfront’s bar culture and Hampton Roads holiday spirit to one of the most Atlantic Coast December celebrations in Virginia. The Atlantic Avenue Oceanfront strip and the Town Center bar district are the heart of Virginia Beach nightlife and when SantaCon arrives the combination of the military community pride, the Neptune Festival heritage, and the excellent local bars creates a holiday celebration with a Virginia Beach character that is warm, coastal, and genuinely Coastal Virginia.
Virginia Beach has one of the largest military populations in America and the SantaCon reflects that community pride and patriotism. The Santa costume competition draws on the Navy and military community and the Virginia Beach arts scene and the entries have a Coastal Virginia combination of military precision and Atlantic Ocean beach creativity.
