Temple’s SantaCon brings Central Texas’ bar culture and Lone Star holiday spirit to one of the most community-grounded December celebrations in the I-35 corridor. The downtown Temple bar district has developed into a welcoming scene and when SantaCon arrives the combination of the Scott and White Healthcare community, the Fort Hood proximity, and the excellent local bars creates a holiday celebration with a Temple character that is warm, community-driven, and genuinely Central Texas.
Temple is a Central Texas city with deep roots in healthcare, military, and the railroad heritage that founded it and the SantaCon reflects those community values. The Santa costume competition draws on the Scott and White, Baylor Scott and White, and military community and the entries have the warm, genuine enthusiasm of a Central Texas city that celebrates with real community spirit.
