Tacoma has spent the last decade turning its downtown into somewhere worth a night out. The Pride Bar Crawl works the Theater District and the blocks around it.
The route covers the bars along Broadway and the cross streets, close enough together that the walking stays short. The city is compact in a way Seattle is not, which suits a routed crawl.
June in the South Sound is when the grey finally lifts. The evenings turn long and mild, the waterfront is busy, and downtown carries a crowd well past dark.
