St. Louis, MO
July 4th Pub Crawls
St. Louis, Missouri throws one of the great American Independence Day parties and it does it in the shadow of the Arch. On Saturday, July 4, 2027 the official Red, White and Brew bar crawl runs through the Washington Avenue corridor and toward Soulard, the two districts that carry the city’s downtown nightlife.
Washington Avenue is the loft district, old garment warehouses turned into bars and clubs along a wide straight run that is easy to walk. Soulard south of downtown is the older character, a neighborhood of nineteenth-century brick buildings and taverns around the farmers market. The crawl takes both ends of how this city drinks.
The Fourth in St. Louis happens under the Gateway Arch, which is about as literal a symbol as a holiday can ask for. The riverfront grounds fill through the day, the fireworks go up over the Mississippi, and the downtown bars take the crowd when it disperses.
In 2027 the Semiquincentennial marks 250 years of American independence, and St. Louis’s connection runs through the expansion that followed. The city was founded as a French fur-trading post in 1764, twelve years before the Declaration, and became American with the Louisiana Purchase of 1803. Lewis and Clark set out from the St. Louis area in 1804 to map what the young country had just bought.
PubCrawls.com organizes and runs it. The line-up is confirmed before July 4th, each venue’s specials are agreed in advance, and your digital route map arrives before the event. Check-in is in Washington Avenue / Soulard and nothing after that needs planning.
The St. Louis July 4th pub crawl draws locals from Soulard, the Central West End and the Grove alongside visitors from St. Charles, Clayton, the Metro East in Illinois and across eastern Missouri who come downtown for the holiday.
The event is 21 and over only. Birthday groups, bachelorette parties, work crews and friend groups from across the metro all make the St. Louis July 4th crawl a summer fixture. Groups of 20 or more can arrange pricing in advance.
Tickets are on sale now at PubCrawls.com. Downtown St. Louis fills on the Fourth and the official pub crawl sells through. Buy early and mark America’s 250th birthday under the Gateway Arch.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the St. Louis July 4th Bar Crawl?
St. Louis runs Saturday, July 3, 2027, from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. That puts the crawl right alongside the Fair Saint Louis weekend on the Arch grounds.
Is Fair Saint Louis on that weekend?
Very likely. The city's long-running Fourth of July fair occupies the Arch grounds across the holiday weekend, with music and fireworks, which fills downtown for several days at once.
Which St. Louis district does the route use?
The Grove, Soulard, the Central West End and downtown are all plausible. Your confirmed check-in venue and participating lineup arrive with the ticket confirmation. Each one draws a noticeably different crowd on a holiday weekend.
How hot is St. Louis in early July?
Hot and heavily humid, usually in the low 90s in the afternoon with the Mississippi valley holding the moisture. The five o'clock start is the hardest stretch of the evening.
Are there fireworks over the Arch grounds?
Yes, the holiday display goes up on the riverfront with the Arch as the backdrop, which is one of the more recognisable fireworks settings anywhere in the country.
Is Soulard walkable that evening?
Yes. The neighborhood keeps its bars close together in a compact grid of nineteenth-century blocks, which limits how long you spend outside in Missouri July heat between stops.
Is there a Cardinals home game that weekend?
Quite possibly. Busch Stadium usually hosts across the holiday, and a home game fills the downtown bars from the afternoon onward, so check the fixture before you book anything.
How do I get home from St. Louis that night?
Yes. Rideshare demand peaks on the holiday Saturday, and the routes out to the county and across into Illinois are a real drive rather than a walk.
