Santa Rosa’s SantaCon brings the Wine Country gateway city’s bar culture and Sonoma County holiday spirit to one of the most vineyard-adjacent December celebrations in California. The Railroad Square Historic District and the downtown Santa Rosa bar corridor are the heart of Wine Country nightlife and when SantaCon arrives the combination of the Sonoma wine culture, the redwood forest proximity, and the excellent local bars creates a holiday celebration with a Santa Rosa character that is warm, sophisticated, and completely Wine Country Northern California.
Santa Rosa is the gateway to Sonoma Wine Country and the SantaCon reflects that proximity to some of the finest wine culture in the world. The Santa costume competition draws on the Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State communities and the Wine Country arts scene and the entries have a Northern California combination of wine country sophistication and genuine December enthusiasm.
