About
Santa Monica, CA
Pride Bar Crawl
Santa Monica holds its bars in the downtown blocks near the water, and the Pride Bar Crawl works that area. The route stays walkable from the first stop onward.
The downtown grid and the Main Street run south of it carry the rooms, all within a short walk of the beach. On the Westside, a route that needs no car at all is worth something.
June on the Westside brings the marine layer through most of the day, clearing into mild evenings. The ocean keeps the temperature steady, which suits a night spent walking.
Our hosts run the downtown route with the stops set in advance. Specials are agreed at each bar and one wristband covers every door.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Santa Monica Pride Bar Crawl?
Santa Monica keeps its bars in a compact grid near the pier and promenade. One wristband covers the participating venues, plus a digital route map, drink specials, and after-party access.
Has a Santa Monica Pride date been posted?
Not so far. A confirmed Santa Monica date appears in the ticket selector on the event page once it goes live, so check there before planning a June weekend.
When is Pride in this part of Los Angeles?
The main LA Pride parade and festival run in June, centered further inland around Hollywood and West Hollywood, so a Santa Monica crawl is the coastal alternative to that.
Which Santa Monica venues does the route use?
The participating bars sit around the Third Street Promenade and the blocks running down toward the pier, close together. Your confirmed check-in venue comes with your ticket.
Is the Santa Monica promenade walkable?
Very. The Third Street Promenade is pedestrianised and the surrounding blocks are flat and short, so the whole Santa Monica route works comfortably on foot from end to end.
What should I wear in Santa Monica in June?
Something light with a layer. The coast runs considerably cooler than inland Los Angeles, and June evenings here drop into the 60s once the marine air moves back in.
How does this compare to a West Hollywood night?
Very different. West Hollywood carries the dense community strip and the Pride weekend crowds, while Santa Monica is a beach-town evening with a broader and more mixed room.
Can I get to Santa Monica by Metro?
Yes. The E Line runs from downtown Los Angeles to Downtown Santa Monica station, a short walk from the promenade, which is far easier than driving the freeway on a Saturday.
