Pride Bar Crawl
San Diego spreads across a lot of ground but its bar districts are distinct and walkable. The Pride Bar Crawl works Hillcrest, where the route keeps the stops close together.
Hillcrest sits on the mesa above downtown with bars and restaurants lined along University Avenue and Fifth. The whole district walks comfortably, which is the practical reason the route stays inside it. The district sits high enough above the harbor to catch the air coming off it, which keeps the walking comfortable even when the rest of the county stays warm.
June in San Diego means the marine layer hangs around in the mornings and burns off by afternoon. The evenings are mild and steady, about as reliable as walking weather gets in America.
Our hosts run the Hillcrest route with the stops arranged beforehand. Specials are confirmed at each bar and one wristband covers every stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the San Diego Pride Bar Crawl?
San Diego's queer nightlife concentrates in one dense neighborhood, and this crawl gives the participating venues a mapped route with a wristband, drink specials, and after-party access.
What window does the San Diego page list?
Saturday, June 26, 2027, from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Three hours in Pacific Time, which is short, so being at check-in on time matters more here than in a longer window.
When is San Diego Pride itself?
San Diego holds its main Pride parade and festival in July rather than June, centered on Hillcrest, so a June crawl sits ahead of that weekend rather than inside it.
Where is San Diego's LGBTQ nightlife?
Hillcrest, along University Avenue and Fifth, is the dense historic center by a wide margin, with North Park adjoining it. Your confirmed check-in venue comes with your ticket.
Is Hillcrest walkable for this?
Very. The University Avenue stretch keeps venues within a couple of minutes of each other, which is exactly what a three-hour San Diego window needs to work properly.
What should I wear in San Diego in June?
Something light with a layer. June gloom keeps the mornings grey here, and the evening cools into the 60s once the marine air comes back over the mesa.
How does Hillcrest compare to Pacific Beach?
They are different nights entirely. Hillcrest is the community district with the Pride festival and the established venues, while Pacific Beach is a younger, broader beach nightlife strip.
Should I buy the San Diego ticket ahead?
Worth doing. Hillcrest venues fill quickly on a summer Saturday, and a three-hour window means capacity here is a good deal tighter than the listing makes it look.
