Philadelphia is a walking city and the Pride Bar Crawl uses that. The route works Center City around the Midtown Village area, where the bars sit closest together.
The grid here is tight and the rooms are dense, from old taverns to newer cocktail bars. The whole route covers a handful of blocks, which keeps the night moving.
June in southeastern Pennsylvania is warm and humid with long evenings. The sidewalk seating is out across Center City and the streets stay busy until closing.
