Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the Pacific Beach Halloween Bar Crawl 2026
What is the Pacific Beach Halloween Bar Crawl?
A Halloween crawl through participating bars in Pacific Beach, San Diego's most bar-dense beach neighborhood. Your ticket covers wristband entry, a digital route map, exclusive Halloween drink specials, live DJs at select stops, and access to the official after-party.
Where exactly is Pacific Beach?
It is a coastal neighborhood of San Diego, north of Mission Beach and west of Interstate 5, not a separate city. The bars concentrate along Garnet Avenue and toward Mission Boulevard, a few blocks in from the boardwalk.
What dates and times does the PB crawl run?
Saturday, October 24 from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Saturday, October 31 from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The earlier Halloween start is worth noting if you were planning to arrive late.
How bad is parking in PB?
Bad, honestly. Street parking around Garnet fills up early on any weekend night and Halloween makes it worse. Getting dropped off is the sane option, or park further inland and walk the last few blocks.
Can I get there on transit?
MTS bus routes serve Pacific Beach and connect it to the rest of San Diego, but the trolley does not run out here. For most people it comes down to rideshare, and pickup zones near Garnet get congested late in the evening.
Can I take a drink onto the beach or boardwalk?
No. Alcohol is prohibited on San Diego's beaches and the boardwalk, and it is enforced. Keep drinks inside the participating venues, which is where your wristband and the specials apply anyway.
Is a costume expected in PB?
Yes, in practice. The crawl runs a social media costume contest with a photographer and videographer on the route, and PB goes hard for Halloween. Ocean air after dark is cooler than the daytime suggests, so factor in a layer.
How does the night end?
The route finishes at the official after-party venue with exclusive entry for wristband holders. That is where the crowd consolidates, so if you are only doing part of the route, keep the final stop on your list.
