New Haven keeps its bars in a tight downtown grid, and the Pride Bar Crawl works that core. The route covers Crown Street and the Ninth Square.
Crown Street holds the bar run and the Ninth Square blocks around it add restaurants and smaller rooms. Everything sits within a few minutes of everything else, which suits the format well.
June in south central Connecticut is mild with the harbor keeping the evenings comfortable. The academic year has ended, which leaves the downtown to the city rather than the university.

Check-in opens at 7:00 PM on the the Ninth Square and Crown Street route. Address arrives with your ticket.
Collect the wristband and your first drink. The route opens at 7:30 PM.
