Santa Pub Crawls
Memphis’s SantaCon brings the Home of the Blues and Soul of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s bar culture and Tennessee holiday spirit to one of the most musically charged December nights in America. Beale Street is one of the most famous bar streets in the world and when SantaCon fills it with Santas the combination of Memphis music heritage, the Beale Street energy, and the excellent local bars creates a holiday celebration that has a soundtrack unlike any other SantaCon in the country.
Memphis takes its bar culture as seriously as it takes its music and barbecue and that seriousness comes through in SantaCon. The Santa costume competition on Beale Street draws on the creative energy of a city that has been at the center of American music culture for generations and the entries reflect that Bluff City combination of musical passion, Southern warmth, and genuine December celebration.
December in Memphis is cool, typically ranging from 32 to 48 degrees at night. The Tennessee Delta winter is mild and the Beale Street bar community is warm and welcoming. The combination of holiday lights, live music, and hundreds of Santas on one of America’s most famous streets is a December experience that is genuinely Memphis.
Our hosts manage the Memphis SantaCon route on and around Beale Street. Specials confirmed at every stop, wristbands handle entry, and the Santa costume competition runs to the soundtrack of live Memphis music.
