Pride Bar Crawl
Memphis has Beale Street and it has Cooper-Young. The Pride Bar Crawl works the second one, where the independent bars and restaurants are.
Cooper-Young is a neighborhood intersection with bars, music rooms and restaurants clustered around it. This is where the city goes out rather than where visitors do, and the whole district walks in minutes. The rooms here lean toward music and late hours rather than volume, which makes this a different kind of night from the one the city is known for downtown.
June in the Mid-South is hot and humid, which puts everything after sunset. The district fills late and the patios stay in use until closing.
