Pine Avenue carries the bar and restaurant run down toward the harbor, with more rooms on the cross streets. The whole route walks easily, which is rare enough in the county to matter.
June in Los Angeles County brings the marine layer and mild evenings, and the harbor keeps Long Beach cooler than inland. The walking stays comfortable all night.
