Knoxville’s SantaCon brings the Marble City’s bar culture and Tennessee holiday spirit to one of the most lively December celebrations in the Appalachian South. Market Square and the Old City bar districts are the heart of Knoxville nightlife and when SantaCon arrives the combination of Tennessee Volunteer orange, the Appalachian Mountain backdrop, and the excellent local bars creates a holiday celebration with a Knoxville character that is warm, community-driven, and genuinely Tennessee.
Knoxville has one of the South’s finest bar scenes and the SantaCon reflects that quality. The Santa costume competition draws on the University of Tennessee community and the creative East Tennessee arts scene and the entries often feature the famous Tennessee orange in creative Santa interpretations that honor the Volunteer spirit.
