The Kansas side of the metro runs its own night, and the Pride Bar Crawl covers it. The route works the downtown district where the bars sit closest together.
Keeping this route on the Kansas side is deliberate. The stops are close enough to walk, and the evening stays in one district rather than crossing the state line halfway through.
June in the Kansas City metro is warm and humid with long evenings. The district fills once the day heat drops and the outdoor seating stays in use late.
