About
Honolulu, HI
Pride Bar Crawl
Honolulu has Waikiki and it has Chinatown, and the Pride Bar Crawl works the second one. The route covers the downtown arts district where the independent rooms are.
Chinatown holds bars, galleries and restaurants inside old low-rise buildings along a compact grid. This is where the island goes out rather than where visitors do, and the whole district walks in minutes. The buildings are low and the streets are narrow, so the district holds its noise in rather than letting it spread, which gives the route a close, contained feel.
June on Oahu is warm and steady with the trade winds doing most of the cooling. The evenings are pleasant and the district stays busy well past dark.
Our hosts run the Chinatown route with the stops confirmed in advance. Specials are agreed at each bar and one wristband covers every door.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Honolulu Pride Bar Crawl?
Honolulu splits its nightlife between Waikiki and the Chinatown blocks downtown, and this Pride crawl links the participating venues on one wristband, one map, and one after-party.
What time does the Honolulu page list?
It shows Saturday, June 26, 2027, from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, but that matches the Eastern Time band used across this series rather than Hawaii time. Confirm the local hours at checkout.
When is Honolulu Pride?
Hawaii runs its main Pride parade and festival in October rather than June, so a June crawl here is a separate occasion on the local calendar entirely.
Where is Honolulu's LGBTQ nightlife?
The Chinatown and Hotel Street district downtown holds most of the long-standing community venues, with Waikiki carrying a broader visitor scene. Your check-in venue comes with your ticket.
Is the Honolulu crawl open to allies?
Yes. It is a public ticketed nightlife event and the room is broadly mixed. A wristband and a valid photo ID are what every door on the route asks for.
What should I wear in Honolulu in June?
Something that breathes. June here is warm and humid into the night, usually in the 80s, and the trade winds do less for you indoors than you might hope.
Can I get around Honolulu for Pride without a car?
Yes, and you should. TheBus covers the Waikiki and downtown corridors and rideshare is widely available, while parking in either area is slow and expensive on a Saturday evening.
Does the time difference matter for Honolulu?
It can. Hawaii does not observe daylight saving, so the gap to the mainland is wider than usual in June. Worth checking if anyone is coordinating with you from the continent.
