Pride Bar Crawl
Charleston runs its nightlife along King Street, and the Pride Bar Crawl works the upper stretch. The route covers the blocks where the bars sit closest together.
Upper King holds the bar and restaurant run north of the historic core, with rooms inside old buildings along a straight walkable line. This is where the city goes out rather than where it sightsees.
June in the Lowcountry is hot and thoroughly humid, which pushes everything into the evening. The street fills late and the patios stay in use until closing.
Our hosts run the Upper King route with the stops set beforehand. Specials are agreed at each bar and the wristband covers every stop.
