About
Bethlehem, PA
Thanksgiving Eve
Bethlehem has two distinct downtowns separated by the Lehigh River, and the night before Thanksgiving fills both. The Thanksgiving Eve Bar Crawl works the historic Main Street side and the SouthSide.
Main Street is the historic Moravian district, walkable and already lit for the Christmas season by late November. The SouthSide across the river has the college crowd and the converted steel works venues. Two very different halves.
The Lehigh Valley keeps its families close and the city is at its most atmospheric in late November, with the Christmas City lighting already underway. Thanksgiving Eve catches the town right as that season begins.
Specials are confirmed at each bar and the wristband covers every stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Bethlehem Thanksgiving Eve Bar Crawl?
Thanksgiving Eve is the biggest night of the Lehigh Valley bar year, and Bethlehem carries a good share of it. The crawl covers participating bars on one wristband.
Has a Bethlehem Thanksgiving Eve date been posted?
Nothing posted so far. Thanksgiving Eve is Wednesday, November 25 in 2026, which in the Lehigh Valley is comfortably the biggest bar night of the entire year.
Why is Thanksgiving Eve so big in the Lehigh Valley?
Because the region's diaspora comes home. Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton all send people away for work, and the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is when they return at once.
Is Christkindlmarkt open by then?
Usually just. Bethlehem's Christmas market opens around this point in November, which adds a holiday crowd to the town on top of the returning residents. Check the market dates against yours.
How cold is Bethlehem in late November?
Genuinely cold. Eastern Pennsylvania sits in the 30s and 40s after dark by late November, with a real chance of the first snow of the season arriving.
Which side of Bethlehem hosts the Eve crawl?
Historic downtown around Main Street or SouthSide Bethlehem near Lehigh. Your confirmed check-in venue and participating lineup come with your ticket confirmation. Sort your ride home around whichever it is, because crossing the river in November is not a walk.
Should I arrange a ride home in Bethlehem?
Yes. Thanksgiving Eve rideshare demand across the Lehigh Valley is heavy, and crossing between the north and south sides in November is not a walk anyone enjoys.
Should I buy the Bethlehem ticket ahead?
Yes. This is comfortably the busiest bar night of the Bethlehem year, and the participating rooms on either side of the river fill early. It sells through weeks in advance.
