The Double Wide aims to be your new “waterin’ hole” and they definitely hit the mark – hard enough that some of their regulars drive nearly an hour to be there. They’ve got something for everybody, from the vegetarian pub gastronome to the weary worker who just wants a cheeseburger and a Miller to wash away the taste of a hard day at work. The atmosphere matches the décor. The dark tiled floor and natural wood tones are unpretentious and full of genuine warmth. The televisions at the front and a projector at the back will keep you in touch with the latest game plays. The regulars are convivial and laid back, and the staff at the Double Wide has hearts as wide as Georgia. It’s a Southern kitchen, which means dishes such as biscuits and gravy, Fried Chicken Waffle, and Vanilla Bourbon French Toast topped with pecans are on the brunch menu. While Short Rib Frito Pie made with slow-cooked chili, Pulled Pork Sliders, and Tex-Mex grits are on the regular menu. The Sweet Tea Bourbon Lemonade served in mason jars is to die for, but if you prefer your cocktails spicy, check out the Dirty South Martini and its jalapeño stuffed olive!
