About Halloween Pub Crawls
The Springfield, MA Halloween Bar Crawl is a costume night in western Massachusetts, with one wristband for the participating bars. The route and check-in venue are confirmed in your ticket email.
Springfield’s nightlife centers on downtown, with Worthington Street and Court Square among the places people go when they want a night out, and MGM Springfield draws a crowd of its own. Halloween weekend brings students from Western New England University, Springfield College and AIC, plus groups from Chicopee, Holyoke, West Springfield and the Hartford area.
New England in late October is the real thing. Evenings are cold, leaves are down, and wind can cut through a thin costume. Plan for a warm layer and shoes you can stand in for hours. Rain is common, and a first frost is possible.
Parking downtown is easier than in Boston, but driving after a crawl is not an option. Rideshare is available, and the PVTA buses and Union Station serve downtown for those coming in from elsewhere. Agree on your ride home before you start. Springfield has a loyal local crowd that treats a downtown night as a community event, so expect to see familiar faces from work, school and the neighborhood. Keep your costume warm and practical, eat before you start, and book your ride early because the end of the night comes all at once.
