San Antonio’s SantaCon brings the Alamo City’s bar culture and South Texas holiday spirit to one of the most Mission-heritage December celebrations in America. The River Walk and the Pearl District are the heart of Alamo City nightlife and when SantaCon arrives the combination of the San Antonio Spurs culture, the River Walk’s incomparable holiday decorations, and the exceptional local bars creates a holiday celebration that is warm, beautiful, and completely San Antonio.
San Antonio has one of the most beautiful holiday settings in America when the River Walk is decorated for Christmas and the SantaCon benefits from that extraordinary visual backdrop. The Santa costume competition draws on the UTSA and Trinity communities and the San Antonio arts and military community and the entries have a South Texas combination of Mexican-American cultural creativity and genuine Spurs Big Fun holiday enthusiasm.
