Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the Detroit Corktown Halloween Bar Crawl 2026
What is the Corktown Halloween Bar Crawl?
A Halloween crawl through participating bars in Corktown, Detroit's oldest surviving neighborhood, just west of downtown. One ticket covers wristband entry, a digital route map, Halloween drink specials, live DJs at select venues, and access to the official after-party.
Why Corktown instead of downtown?
Corktown packs a lot of bars into a short stretch along and around Michigan Avenue, which is exactly what a crawl needs. It is a walkable neighborhood with its own character rather than a stadium-district crowd, and it has become one of the city's better nights out.
What time does it start on Halloween?
Saturday, October 31 runs 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, which is a later start and an earlier finish than most dates on this event. Saturday, October 24 runs 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Check which one you booked before you plan the evening.
Can I take the QLINE to Corktown?
No. The QLINE streetcar runs up and down Woodward Avenue, which serves downtown, Midtown, and New Center, but it does not reach Corktown. The People Mover loop is downtown only. Plan on rideshare or driving to get to the neighborhood.
How is parking in Corktown?
Corktown has surface lots and street parking along Michigan Avenue and the side streets, and it is generally easier than parking downtown. It still fills on a Saturday night, so arrive with time to spare rather than circling at 5:00 PM.
Is the route walkable once I am there?
Yes, that is the point of running it here. The participating venues sit close enough together that you are walking a few minutes between stops, not crossing the city. Your digital map shows the whole route once you check in.
How cold will it be?
Late October in Detroit is cold after dark, commonly in the 30s and 40s with wind off the river. Build the costume to work under a jacket, or plan to check a coat at your first stop. All the venues are indoors.
