With its slightly “shotgun” layout (a really long bar with a few tables ending in an open room), it’s easy enough to get to the TVs in the corner or the Big Buck Hunter video game, but who’s worried about going anywhere when there are such attractive and attentive staff? You’ll be treated like family, and that includes everybody being really nice about it when you don’t quite manage to pull off “Sexy and I Know It” during your big karaoke break. Yes, TG Whitney’s is locally famous as a karaoke bar featuring some really excellent local talent. Don’t be fooled by the hardwood floors, wainscoting, and elaborate wall sconces; this venue is a great spot for the locals and will cause you great entertainment. It might not be pâté de foie gras, but the pub fare is cooked perfectly: chicken fingers, fries, quesadillas, burgers, sliders, and all the favorites. The beer selection includes not only popular domestics and imported such as Bud and Sam Adams, but also interesting alternatives such as Yeungling and Hooegaarden. No matter which you choose, the important part is the bartender knows how to pull a perfect pint and mix a perfect cocktail. Have a go at karaoke, listen to others sing while you down your favorite drink! This is a place to meet new people and have a wondrous night of fun!
