Pacific Beach Bar & Grill

Named for the Tammany Society of 18th century New York that controlled local politics and furthered the cause of the Irish, Tammany Hall evokes that same era of elegance. The lushness of dark wood and paneled walls could have made Tammany Hall a bit too formal but it is saved by touches of industrial chic, such as exposed ductwork playing off against a tin-tile ceiling that makes it a warm and inviting place to come and catch a game or dance up a storm to an eclectic mix of genres, beats, and cultures. The DJ always has something up his sleeve to keep you on the dance floor. The full-featured menu has appetizers such as Grilled Jumbo Cajun Shrimp and Turkey Chili. There’s a menu called the “Raw Bar” that’s just for oysters, clams, shrimp, and lobster. Of the entrées, the Blackened Lobster is unique and interesting. The vast selection of beer includes interesting choices such as Allagash White (bottled), Pilsner Urquell (draft), and even Framboise. The wine list is extensive while on the cocktail menu, the Bloody Tammany is a delicious blend of Stolichnaya, Tammany’s own Bloody Mary recipe, olives, lemon, and Montreal seasoning to finish the rim. This venue is the epitome of great food, a good vibe and a fun night out!
