Despite the name, “stone” is the last word to apply to the friendly, attentive staff at Stone Creek. The décor is warm and inviting. The distressed light and maple-colored hardwood flooring highlights the smooth shine of the dark wood and black leather chairs. Minimalist banquette seating in the window alcove makes the glassy shine of the tree-slice table tops stand out and makes it that much easier to get up close and personal. It’s playful without being patronizing. The pub fare menu offers a solid number of selections with a nice variety of beef, chicken, seafood, and vegetarian dishes, of which the calamari and the artichoke dip are stellar standouts. Stone Creek has an excellent assortment of beer, one of which is Stone Creek Ale (no relation), and a wide array of cocktails. Popular standouts are the Lychee Martini, the Peach Pear Delight, and the Mojito! Can’t make up your mind? Don’t be afraid to ask the expert mixologist behind the bar for suggestions! If you prefer wine, they also have a choice of three red and three white, of which most notable are the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Pinot Grigio.
