Venue Information

Amber is an Asian fusion bar located in the West Village of Manhattan, known for it’s authentic Japanese decor. Any native New Yorker knows this is a restaurant with great food, incredible drinks and an even better ambiance. Be prepared to be taken away by the artistically crafted dishes designed to amaze and awe.

Often overlooked, is their signature cocktail menu that can compete with that of the well known mixologists of the West Village. These infusions will leave you impressed. The chefs here only use the finest ingredients to uphold their respect for the Japanese culture. The color Amber is closely related to yellow, which in Japan is the color of courage.

The fusion of Japanese with underlying tone of french nuances breaks boundaries between east and west.

A huge statue of Buddha guards the back wall in honor of Japanese religion. Only a few blocks away from the high line, the old above ground subway tracks covered to park. And even fewer blocks to the upscale nightlife of the meatpacking district, Amber is in a great place for a night out on the town.

The busiest times are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, so call ahead of you are looking to bring a date. With a full sushi bar and menu, dishes tend be served family style to encourage conversation and connection.
