El Big Bad can be considered to be the next level of a Mexican cantina with their innovative drink program. Located in the Market Square area in downtown Houston, this bi-level bar/restaurant calls itself a “gastro-cantina” where you are sure to have a memorable experience.
El Big Bad is situated on Prairie Street, across the street from local bus routes and right around the corner of the Preston Metro Rail Station. Many people come to this bar for their drink program. With their huge collection of infused tequilas, there’s a drink choice for everyone. Enjoy one of their many tequilas in one of their specialty margaritas or cocktails while admiring one of several colorful murals that are displayed throughout the bar (or watch the game on one of televisions placed throughout the venue). For another view, you can head up to their second level where there’s balcony space that looks out over Houston.
If tequila is not your preference El Big Bad also offers Mexican and Texan craft beer to patrons. In addition, their updated Mexican-inspired menu is just as creative as their drinks and range from finger foods for Happy Hour to savory meals for lunch/brunch and dinner.
