Everybody has one – the place they go just because they like to get away from the house without actually leaving home. Wilton House is one of those places. There is no hip, trendy sound system, as the main source of music is a coin-operated jukebox with a wild assortment of tunes covering everything from Elvis to Kanye and all points between. The menu doesn’t have exotic dishes or a wide range of pub fare, as a matter of fact, there’s no menu at all.
The beer menu doesn’t feature many exotic brews from far-off countries, but there is a wide local selection from which to choose. What you will surely get is a good drink at a great price, the courtesy to let you drink it in peace, or a hearty invitation to join in the conversation. The unassuming Wilton House has been a local draw from all segments of society for so long; nobody actually remembers a time it didn’t exist. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a hard day at work or gear up for a nice of dancing at other, way more expensive venues.
