Rich with history and arts, the city of Hartford is a city worth visiting. As one of the oldest cities in the United States, founded in 1636, it is home to some historical attractions and happenings. Author Mark Twain resided in this city and his home still stands as a tourist attraction. The War of 1812 took place on the land of the city. And the country’s first public museum is housed here, Wadsworth Atheneum. The Dutch were the first known Europeans to explore the Colonial Hartford area. And this holiday season, the event planners from SantaCon.org have a new group ready to stomp the grounds of Hartford. This group consists of Santas. Yes, you read that correctly. It is time for the 2017 Hartford SantaCon.
